Honouring Life

Honouring live provides some closure and emotional support for the living. A ceremony celebrates a person’s impact on the family and friends during their journey through life. A celebration can remind everyone of the legacy that they leave behind and remind everyone of how their lives were touched.

A celebration of life ceremony allows attendants to say goodbye. As everyone comes together, stories of special memories of the deceased are shared and can be carried forward. The honouring of a life is a signal to transition from the physical relationship to the memories of a live well lived. The shared stories often have special impact, as the community finds out things about their loved one, and how they impacted others that they might not have known about. This allows family stories to get passed down and keep a legacy alive. It provides an opportunity to reconnect with one another during the celebration to carry each other forward.
